Stensrud Lodge 40th Anniversary

Stensrud Lodge 1977 – 2017

Jubilee Residences Inc. and Stensrud Lodge hosted a day of celebrations on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 to mark the 40th Anniversary of Stensrud Lodge.  Several dignitaries were on hand including Kevin Waugh, Member of Parliament for Saskatoon Grasswood, Lisa Lambert, Member of the Legislative Assembly for Saskatoon Churchill-Wildwood, and Ward 9 Saskatoon City Councillor Bev Dubois. Also on hand were Karen Knelsen, Jubilee Residences Inc. Board Chair, Jack Ostoforoff, Jubilee Residences Foundation Board Chair and Mike Stensrud, Chair of the Saskatoon Health Region and son of the late Howard Stensrud, one of the founding fathers of Stensrud Lodge. Residents and their families enjoyed a delicious barbecue and some great entertainment, courtesy of Saskatoon Sol.  There was face painting, balloons, and celebratory cake.  The official program capped off with a special ceremony on the grounds of Stensrud Lodge.  The dignitaries buried a time capsule filled with items chosen by residents and staff.  The group also planted a beautiful rose bush which will be enjoyed by the residents for years to come.
